The PNB title – Basic Navigation Skipper enables the control of recreational motor boats of 8 meters in length and coastal navigation at a maximum distance of 5 miles from the coast.
It also enables the control of jet skis of any displacement.
To obtain the qualification PNB you must be at least 16 years old at the time of taking the theoretical test, without providing written authorization from parents or guardians.
To take the course to obtain the Título PNB – Basic Navigation Skipper is not necessary to have any prior qualifications.
Of course, before applying for the PNB title you have to prove that you have completed the basic safety and navigation practices, which last 8 hours. At Oceanautic we give you the possibility of taking the complete PNB Pack, which includes theory and mandatory practices.
The requirements that will have to be met to take the PNB degree are the following:
- Pass the theoretical exam
- Perform basic safety and navigation practices lasting 8 hours
- Carry out radio communications practices lasting 4 hours
- Prove the recognition psychophysical, issued by a Medical Center in accordance with article 21 of the RD 875/2014.
The test will have to perform to get the title PNB will be a maximum time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It will consist of 45 multiple choice questions with subjects with a number of failures, highs qualifiers.
